John G. Dano, 94 of Moorestown, NJ on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Cambridge Senior Living, Moorestown. Born in Pond Creek, PA, Mr. Dano was a resident of Morrisville from 1960 until 2022. He was a graduate of General Motors Institute in Michigan and worked his entire career at the Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Ewing, NJ, where he retired as Superintendent of Manufacturing Engineering. He enjoyed traveling with his family, especially to Wildwood Crest. He was an avid golfer, loved hunting with his nephew Bobby Hallahan and was a proud member of Saint Ann’s Band of Freeland, PA.
Husband of the late Mary T. Dano, son of the late John Sr. and Susan Dano, and brother of the late Thomas Dano and Anna Hallahan, he is survived by four daughters, Susan Lee of San Antonio, TX, Mary Kennedy and husband Alan of San Antonio, TX, Kathleen Dano of Bordentown, NJ and Sharon Angelone and husband Frank of Cinnaminson, NJ, five grandchildren, Erin Locati and husband Guido of San Antonio, Caitlin Nichols and husband Jase of San Antonio, Sarah Herbert and husband Kevin of Evesham, NJ, Robert A. Gravener of Cinnaminson, NJ, John Gravener of Roebling, NJ, six great grandchildren, Dominic and Gabriel Locati, Alexandra and JJ Nichols, McKenzie Purcell and KJ Herbert, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Liturgy at 10 AM on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Grand Street and Malone Street, Trenton, NJ, 08611. Friends may call on July 14, 2023 from 9-10 AM at the Church.
His interment will be held at 2:30 PM at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery on Green Street in Freeland, PA.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in John’s memory to the American Heart Association, (www.heart.org) or to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
