Obituary of John A. Foderaro, Sr.John A. Foderaro, Sr, of Morrisville, PA, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. He was born 83 years ago to Joseph and Eufemia DiBlasi Foderaro in Hazleton, PA, and married to Sonia Tima Foderaro.John graduated from the College of Aeronautics and worked as a math and physics teacher at the college until drafted into the military. Having earned advance degrees in education, John was a dedicated science teacher in the Bristol Twp. School System. John was recognized in 1975 as an Outstanding American in Secondary Education.After retirement from public school education, John enjoyed teaching environmental subjects for Waste Management of PA.He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was assigned as a crew chief on helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.John was fond of music and played trumpet at Carnegie Hall, NY as a teenager. He was a member of the Bucks County Choral Society and St. John the Evangelist Church Choir in Yardley.He will be dearly missed by his wife Sonia Foderaro. They were married for 52 years. John is also survived and loved by his three children, Ann Elise Summa of East Stroudsburg, PA, John A. Foderaro, Jr. and his wife Justine of Carmichael, CA, Beth Foderaro and her wife Gretchen Bennett of Asbury Park, NJ, and his grandchildren Dylan Foderaro, Aaron Summa and Jake Alden.John's life will be celebrated by a funeral mass at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 999 Reading Ave., Yardley, PA 19067. Interment and military honors will be held privately, at the convenience of the family, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at St. Ignatius Church.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to the National Kidney Foundation in John's name, www.kidney.org.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com).
