Joseph Caucci

Joseph Caucci, 84, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on January 7^th, 2024.

Joe was born November 24, 1939 to Alfred and Mabel (Mannochi) Caucci in Bristol, PA where he grew up.  After graduating from Bristol High School, Joe become a barber, like his father.

In 1964, Joe married his high school sweet heart, Mary R. Daniel and began a life with her that spanned 55 years; ending with Mary’s passing in 2019.   Together they raised two children, Jody and Nicole. 

Joe operated his own barbershop for nearly 60 years.  His loyal, multi-generational clientele always greeted him as “Joe the Barber” around town and even occasionally when spotted while on family vacation!

He is remembered as fun-loving and a child-at-heart; always up for an adventure with the kids, but “don’t tell mom.”  Each winter when Jody and Nicole were growing up, he made a skating rink in the back yard for the entire neighborhood to enjoy.  They also skated on the canal – usually when the ice was thick enough (again, don’t tell mom).  He was an avid skier, fisherman and golfer, taking every opportunity to ski in the Poconos with his buddies on the weekends and traveled many times to ski resorts out west. 

He and his wife, Mary, loved our national parks and were fortunate to visit many with dear friends, Bob and Lorretta Trasatti.

A loyal Eagles fan, his 2^nd favorite NFL team was “any team playing the Cowboys.” 

Joe was predeceased by his wife Mary, son Jody, parents, Alfred and Mabel, sister, Lorretta and brother Stevie. He is survived by his daughter Nicole, son-in-Law Doug, Brothers Al (Betty) and Charlie (Jeanette) and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 20th from 10:00am to 12:00pm, immediately followed by a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Joe’s name, be made to the Dementia Society of America, (www.dementiasociety.org).
