Joseph Davis

Joseph Davis, age 103, of Fairless Hills, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at Crestview Nursing Home, Langhorne, PA. Born in Providence, RI, Mr. Davis lived in Morrisville, PA for most of his life before moving to Fairless Hills 15 years ago.Mr. Davis was first employed as a machinist and tool and die maker for Luscombe Aircraft in W. Trenton, NJ. He then became the owner and operator of Morrisville Esso for 27 years. Following that, he worked at Andy's Auto Supply, Trenton, was last employed with NAPA in Morrisville, PA.Joe was an active parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, and a 4th Degree Knight with the Father Joseph Gallagher Council of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed travel, dancing, bingo, working on cars, and hosting cookouts in the back yard.Son of the late Joseph and Mary (Frances) Davis and brother of the late Alice Schwartz, Madeline Davis, Edward Davis, and Frank Davis, he is survived by his wife Dorothy M. (Gorski) Davis, 3 step-daughters Dorothy P. Hannigan of Hamilton, NJ, Roberta K. ( & husband Joseph) Wiechnik of Morrisville, and Marilyn A. ( & husband Frank) Liese of Bristol, PA, a sister-in-law Madeline Davis, 4 grandchildren Matthew ( & wife Colleen) Wiechnik, Christopher ( & wife Christine) Wiechnik, Donna Liese, and Debra Liese ( & husband Mark Spencer), 7 great-grandchildren, and special nieces, his nephew, John William Davis, who was very close to him, along with many friends, especially Ron and Rita Bitner.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Monday, August. 29, 2016 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.Visitation will take place from 10-11 AM at the church.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent, in Joseph's name, to Holy Trinity Church or Holy Trinity School at the above address.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
