Joseph Fratti, age 91 of Morrisville, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA.He was born in Monongahela, PA and at age 2 moved with family to Italy, where he lived and worked until age 25. Following enlisted duty in the Italian Army during WWII, including time spent in a German POW camp he returned to his birthplace in 1949. He met his future wife, Betty, at a dance hall got married and moved to Morrisville in 1953. Joseph found work at the US Steel Mill in Fairless Hills and retired after 33 years. During that time he also worked at Cunningham's Hardware in Morrisville and was facilities manager at the Colonial Gardens Apartments. Joseph and his wife built their new home for a growing family in Morrisville from the ground, up. Mr. Fratti loved to keep busy and enjoyed repairing major appliances as a side job. Later in life he spent many years working at numerous area flea markets as a vendor; repairing and selling wares and especially meeting new friends.Son of the late Clodovio Ludovico and Gelsomina Maria (Bertogli) Fratti, and husband of the late Elizabeth (Simonik) Fratti he is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert P. and Catherine Fratti and Raphael C. and Kathleen Fratti, all of Lower Makefield, Ronald J. and Cynthia Fratti of Morrisville, and Roger A. and Tina Fratti of Mohnton, PA, a sister, Mary of France, 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in the U.S., Italy, and France.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral mass at 11 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at Holy Trinity Church, Morrisville, PA.
