Joseph Peter Punchello

Joseph Peter Punchello, 68, of Morrisville, PA, passed away after a brief illness on April 16, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia to the late Peter and Dorothy Punchello. Beloved husband of Barbara, née Kruvczuk. Loving father of Valerie, Catharine, Juliette and Elaine. Father-in-law of Allen Hall, Ruben Cobos and Robert Hoffman. Devoted grandfather of Adam and Claire Hall, Gabriella and Matthew Cobos, and Lauren and Nicholas Hoffman. Joe is survived by his brother Alexander Punchello and wife, Georgiana, sister Elizabeth Bullard and husband, Bill, brother Peter Punchello and wife, Marian, mother-in-law Helen Kruvczuk, sister-in-law Nancy Buckley, brother-in-law Joe Kruvczuk and wife, Sandy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was an English teacher at Bishop Conwell and Conwell Egan High Schools in Levittown, PA for 30 years and was cared for during his illness by several former students, now nurses and staff at St. Mary Medical Center. Joe worked as well for the Association of Catholic Teachers in Philadelphia and wrote about outdoor sports for the Bucks County Courier Times for 15 years. Joe's passions were caring for his family, working on cars, fishing and supporting Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral mass at 10 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, 343 S. Broad St.,Trenton, NJ 08608. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30 AM at the J.
