Kathleen M. Lucas (carey)

Kathleen M. Lucas, age 83, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Philadelphia, and the daughter of Irish immigrants, Mrs. Lucas was very proud of her Irish heritage. She raised her family in Levittown before moving to Yardley in 1983.Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a secretary at 3M Corporation in Bristol for 15 years, and then at Attleboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Langhorne for 10 years. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Michael the Archangel Church, where she was a volunteer at Mary's Cupboard, as well as St. John the Evangelist Church. Kathleen was a member of the Kenwood Card Club for over 25 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, and loved spending time in Cape May. Daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (McDonough) Carey, and wife of the late Chris A. Lucas, she is survived by 4 children, Brian (& Dina) Lucas of Blue Bell, PA, Eileen Lucas ( & Michael Monahan) of Morrisville, PA, Joyce Lucas of Morrisville, and Paul (& Jill) Lucas of Yardley, PA, a sister Peggy (& Arthur) McMaster of Philadelphia, a brother James (& Connie) Carey of Flourtown, PA, a sister-in-law Peggy Carey, 9 grandchildren Alicia (& Edson) Fernandes, Olivia Bell, and William, Matthew, Kristin, Meghan, Ryan, Colin, and Justin Lucas, 2 great grandchildren Amelia and Maksim Fernandes, and many loving nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass at 11 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. Interment in Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.Friends may call Saturday morning from 9-10:30 AM at the J.
