Kathryn C. Dewaters (olson)

Kathryn C. DeWaters, age 77, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Staten Island, NY, Kathryn resided in Staten Island before moving to Morrisville 34 years ago.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an actuary with Johnson & Higgins in Manhattan, and then with Marsh & McLennan Companies in E. Windsor, NJ for over 20 years. Mrs. DeWaters was a member of A.A. who enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She loved animals, and was a volunteer at Hope for the Animals as well as Petco.
Daughter of the late Andrew and Charlotte (Ihnken) Olson, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karin and Dane Liesch of Morrisville, her brother and sister-in-law Andy and Josephine Olson of Staten Island, NY, three grandchildren JoEllen, Stephanie, and Nicole Liesch, and a nephew Andrew Olson III and his wife Arcenia grand nieces, Victoria Grace and Viana Josephine.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at 1 PM on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. Her interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Friday evening from 4-6 PM and Saturday from 11 AM - 1 PM at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or to the North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
