Kathryn V. Hornyak (nyiri)

Kathryn V. (Nyere) Hornyak, age 80, of Delran, NJ, died Monday, March 10, 2014 peacefully at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Morrisville, PA, she was the wife of the late Edward G. Hornyak. The youngest child of the late Katalin (Babics) and Andras Nyiri, immigrants from Austria-Hungary, she was born at the family's home in Morrisville, PA. She is survived by her son, Edward Hornyak and his wife Donna (Saglembeni) Hornyak of Delran, NJ, daughter Bonnie Nelson of Lawrenceburg, TN, Grandsons Christopher Hornyak of Delran, NJ, Robert Nelson of Minor Hill, TN, Benjamin Nelson of East Ridge, TN, her great-grandson Lukas Nelson of Lawrenceburg, TN, and her many nieces and nephews who will miss her caring and lively phone calls. Kathryn loved being part of a large family. She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Grundahl, Anna Rouse, Barbara Tokazewski and Madeline Balonis and by her brothers Alexander, Andrew and David. Kathryn was a cheerleader at Morrisville High School and was a devoted Tom Jones fan for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery, Morrisville, PA.
