Linda Sivertsen Hultquist, 73, passed peacefully in her home and under the care of her loving family on Friday, October 8, 2021 after a six month battle with inoperable brain cancer. A testament to her strength and spirit, Linda gave everything to spend as much time with family and friends during her final days and share in their love. Linda served her community with involvement in schools and soccer clubs. Much of her adult life was dedicated to childcare, supporting families locally.
Linda was born May 16, 1948, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, spending her early years in Aliquippa, then residing with her family in Yardley, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her husband, Victor L. Hultquist, of 51 years; her brothers Richard “Ricky” Sivertsen and Donald “Donnie” Sivertsen; her six children, Vikki (Danny) Hultquist, Christopher (Lisa) Hultquist, Clayton (Stephanie) Hultquist, Victor “Trey” (Stacy) Hultquist, LeAnna (Michael) Cherewka Hultquist, and Chaslin (Ryan) Gallagher Hultquist. She will be missed by her nine grandchildren, Zane, Ty, Emma, Rylin, Aron, Addison, Tegan, Mackenzie, and Cassidy, who supported her endlessly with their “Strong Like Grandma” motto during her fight. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews whose love she shared. She will be mourned by numerous granddogs and grandcats, who will always remember her care, including Casper “Caesar” the cat.
She is preceded in death by parents, Freddie and Hazel Sivertsen, and brother, William “Bird” Sivertsen.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Burial will be determined at a later time in her beloved hometown of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania at Woodlawn Cemetery, where she will be forever celebrated and remembered as a “Quip.”
Friends may gather at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel on Nov. 11 th between 9:30 and 11 a.m.
The family is in the process of setting up memorial contributions to a local organization in Aliquippa, PA. Please be patient....the information will be posted as soon as it is available. It may take a week or two, as they are waiting for approval by the Aliquippa School Board.
