Lois Marie Kelly, age 86, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Sunrise of Lower Makefield in Yardley, PA. Born in Morrisville, she was a lifelong area resident.Prior to her retirement, Lois was employed as a personnel Worker with New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company for 30 years. She was an original member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, where she was the former treasurer of the St. Joe's Senior Citizens for 13 years, as well as Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Lois attended Fallsington Elementary and High School, graduating in 1947. During that time, she played hockey, softball, was a cheerleader, sang in the chorus, played parts in several plays, and also worked part time in Fallsington Library. During the early spring season, Lois left every morning at 5 AM and rode her bike to Ben Lovett's Farm to cut asparagus, along with her best friend, Helen Murray. They were the only two girls in the field, working along with their brothers Dick Doheny and Paul Murray, as well as several other boys. She then began her career with NJ Manufacturers, where she was a member of their bowling league. Mrs. Kelly just loved to dance, and enjoyed vacationing in Cape May, NJ. Daughter of the late James P. and Mary Kathryn (Bibus) Doheny, wife of the late Michael H. Kelly, Jr., and sister of the late Richard W. and Donald H. Doheny, she is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Glenn Owens of Morrisville, PA and Debra and Gary Reed, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother-in-law Edward C. Kelly, a cousin David (& wife Arlene) Bibus of Bordentown, NJ, 2 grandchildren Gary Reed, Jr. and Michael Reed, a very dear friend Olive Pelligrini, and several nieces and nephews.Lois's family wishes to express their eternal thanks to all of the Sunrise staff and community. Especially all her personal aides, for treating her with respect, dignity, and true affection.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at 2 PM on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. Interment in the parish cemetery will be held privately at a later date, at the convenience of the family.Friends may call Monday from 12:30-1:30 PM at the J.
