Louis L. Dellago, Jr.

March 26, 1934 — August 18, 2023

Morrisville, PA

Louis L Dellago Jr, 89, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023, at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. He was born in Minersville, PA on March 26, 1934, to Louis A. Dellago Sr and Josephine (Stablum) Dellago. Lou was a loving son, husband, father, and devoted friend.

Lou proudly served in the United States Navy as a Seaman 1st Class aboard the USS Tutuila during the Korean War.  There he formed lifelong bonds with his fellow servicemen. After his military service, Lou dedicated his career to U.S. Steel, working in the locomotive department until his retirement.

Outside of work, Lou was passionate about building custom furniture and collecting toys, especially cars. He also enjoyed dabbling in the stock market and meeting his friends daily for breakfast. He had talents in many areas, whether it was repairing a car engine, doing electrical work, or fixing a leaky faucet, he knew how to do it all.  He also loved guitars and enjoyed listening to music from the fabulous 50s, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Lou is survived by his daughter LouAnn and her husband Chris English of Robbinsville, NJ. He was a cherished Pop-pop to his granddaughters, Brittany English of Philadelphia, PA, and Heather English of Robbinsville, NJ. Lou also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Louis A. Dellago Sr and Josephine (Stablum) Dellago, his stepmother Anna Dellago, his sister Janet Twigg, and his loving wife of 63 years, Anna Mae (Warren) Dellago.

Lou worshipped at Compass Baptist Church in Morrisville, PA, where he found solace and community.

Lou Dellago will be remembered for his dedication to his family, service to his country, and passion for his hobbies. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held to honor Lou's life at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.
