Obituary of Louise A. PlastasLouise A. Plastas, age 88, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at her home. Born in Flemington, PA, she had lived in Yardley for the past 45 years.Prior to her retirement in 2013, Louise was employed as a substitute school teacher with the Pennsbury School District for many years. She attended the Newtown Presbyterian Church, and was a member of Sigma, Sigma, Sigma Sorority, Alpha Rho Chapter at Lockhaven University. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for over 60 years.Daughter of the late Grafius and Edna (Tidlow) Stewart, Wife of the late John Plastas, and mother of the late John S. Plastas, she is survived by her best friend and "adopted" niece, Nyla Houser and her family.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 5 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. Sam Massengill, Pastor of the Newtown Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 at Moscow Cemetery, Moscow, PA.Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 3-5 PM at the funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent, in Louise's name, to the Pennsbury Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 338, 134 Yardley Ave., Fallsington, PA 19054 or to the Pennsbury Arts Foundation at the same address.
