Lynne Susan DeAugustines

July 25, 1948 — March 20, 2020

Morrisville, PA

Lynne Susan DeAugustines, age 71 passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2020, at her home in Morrisville. Born in Hackensack New Jersey, she was a long time Morrisville resident.

Lynne grew up in Saddle Brook, New Jersey and raised her family in Oak Ridge, New Jersey. She raised her three children; Melissa, Melinda and Michael as a stay at home mom, before returning to work. She eventually found herself at Home Depot. She had worked at Home Depot for over the past 20 years, as a front end manager.

Lynne always had a love and respect for nature, a love that she instilled in her children, between her many gardens, rambling through the woods and collecting rocks. Even in her later years, when that wasn’t something she could do anymore, she turned that joy and love towards her many houseplants. Food and cooking was always an important aspect of her life. She always felt the kitchen was the heart of the house. She enjoyed cooking and baking, always interested in trying new ideas, recipes or ingredients. She never shied away from trying something new.

She had an impact on all those around her, becoming a surrogate ‘mom’ to many. You knew when you were talking to her, you were really being heard. Sometimes enveloped in one of her well known hugs.

She is survived by all her children, (including those she did not raise), her daughter Melissa Ashmore and son-in-law Brian Ashmore. Her daughter Melinda DeAugustines and her son-in-law Ross Olchvary. Her son Michael DeAugustines and daughter-in-law DeAnna DeMart. All her grandchildren; Caleb and Faith Ashmore, Luke and Owen Olchvary, and Bryan DeMart, along with her sister Patricia McCullough.

In honor of Lynne, we ask that you take the time to appreciate the natural beauty in the world around you, and if possible plant a flower or tree in her memory.

Services will be announced at a later date.  Feel free to leave the family a message or light a candle in Lynne's memory in the guestbook section of this website.
