Mae Carpenter

Mae Carpenter, age 84, of Fairless Hills, PA, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center, with her family by her side. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mae was a lifelong resident of Morrisville, PA before moving to Fairless Hills 5 years ago.Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Columbian Chemical and the State of NJ Insurance Fraud Department. She was a volunteer at St. Francis Cabrini Church, and supported many animal organizations and shelters. An avid reader, she loved to crochet and enjoyed shopping.Daughter of the late Norman and Lillian (Mullen) Lear, and sister of the late Betty Tettemer, she is survived by her daughter Nancy E. Carpenter of Arlington, VA, her niece Kathy (& Chuck) Thompson, a nephew Bob (& Joan) Tettemer, great nieces Staci Pers and Megan Tettmer, great nephews Kris and Matthew Tettemer, and several great great nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass at 11 AM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.Friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 - 10-:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent, in Mae's name, to the Bucks County SPCA, PO Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
