Marc Scott Davies

August 1, 1949 — May 12, 2018

Marc Scott Davies, age 68 of Morrisville, PA, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Jefferson Bucks Hospital, Langhorne, PA with his family at his side.  Born in Kingston, PA, Mr. Davies lived in Philadelphia before moving to Morrisville 35 years ago.

Marc received his BS degree from Drexel University, and had been employed as an IT manager with Boekel Industries in Feasterville, PA for 32 years.  As a child, was active in the Boy Scouts, and later continued as a Troop Leader.

Marc was a man of many, and varied, interests, both indoors and outdoors, including fishing, target shooting, cooking, science both fact and fiction, and researching cyber security issues.  Mr. Davies loved good food, especially hot spicy Asian dishes that he came to appreciate during his travels to China & Korea.  He was a self-taught handyman and could fix practically anything.  Mark was very proud of his Welsh Heritage, often referring to himself as a Druid. But most of all he was a loving, supportive, and devoted husband and father.  Marc shared fully in all aspects of the parenting, making him the true go-to guy, always available to dispense knowledge, wisdom, and/or money.  In addition to being a great family guy, Marc loved his lap dogs, Coco and Teddy, and his beloved cat Dante, with whom he had a special relationship during his final months.

Son of the late Carlton and Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Davies, he is survived by his beloved wife Sandra “Sandi” (Roettgers) Davies, four children, Corrinne Davies of Morrisville, PA, Ian Davies ( and fiancé Brianna Harner) of Tamaqua, PA, Caitlin Davies (and fiancé Travis Baldwin) of Cary, NC, and Gwyneth (and husband Nate) Navitsky of Tamaqua, PA, two sisters Linda Murphy of Hyattsville, MD and Diane Davies (and spouse Sara Thompson) of Madison, GA, three grandchildren Sierra George, Ally Navitsky and Charlotte Davies, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life service at 2 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA.  The Rev. Wendy Bellis, Pastor of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Friends may call on July 1st from 1-2 PM at the funeral chapel.
