Marcia E. Stefanik (mcguire)

Marcia E. Stefanik, age 90, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her home. Born in Buffalo, NY, Mrs. Stefanik lived in Fayetteville, NY before moving to Yardley 43 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a school teacher with the Fayetteville-Manlius School District and also worked for Educational Testing Service. Mrs. Stefanik was a graduate of Buffalo State Teachers College, earning her B.S. degree in education. She was a member of Tri Sig (Sigma Sigma Sigma) Sorority. She was also a member of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Methodist Women, as well as several other church activities. Mrs. Stefanik loved to travel, especially enjoying cruises and the beach. She loved physical fitness, and was an avid swimmer. Marcia was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.Daughter of the late Frank and Elvira (Windelberg) McGuire, wife of the late Alexander Stefanik, she is survived by 2 daughters and sons in law, Marcia and Les Stein of Garner, NC and Carol and Steve Santini of Chesterfield, NJ, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at 3 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Morrisville United Methodist Church, 501 W. Maple Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. The Rev. Catherine Bowers, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 at 2 PM at Acacia Park Cemetery, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Rd. N, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Friends may call Sunday from 2-3 PM at Morrisville United Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contibutions may be made to Morrisville United Methodist Church at the above address.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
