Margaret Barker (anderson)

Margaret (Anderson) Barker, age 89, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Warrington, PA. Born in Barrow-In - Furness, England, she lived in England until moving to Morrisville 56 years ago.Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Barker was the sportswear manager at Lit Brothers for 30 years. She loved needlepoint, crocheting, baking, and gardening. Margaret especially enjoyed, with her husband, trips to the beach and traveling to England.Daughter of the late Archibald Ewart and Margaret (Dodding) Anderson, she was also predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Thirza (Anderson) and Baron Williams, her brother in law Cyril Priestley, her close cousin Hilda Dooling, and a son and daughter in law, Harry and Denise (Finley) Barker.Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Stephen Barker, a son and daughter in law, Michael and Victoria Ann(Mitos) Barker, a sister in law Margaret Priestley, her grandchildren Sean Barker, Jason Barker, Allyson Paric and Meredith Harrison, her great grandchildren Hayley Barker, Reese Paric, Maiya Barker, Hannah Barker, Evan Barker, Mallory Harrison, and Chase Harrison, several nieces and nephews in the United States and other family in England.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 12 noon at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.Friends may call Friday from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the funeral chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mrs. Barker's name be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
