Margaret Mollie Fimmano, age 89 of Warrington Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home, Warrington, PA. Born in Scranton, PA, Mrs. Fimmano lived many years in Yardley, PA, moved to Doylestown in 2015, then to Warrington in 2018.
Mollie received her computer instructions from Pennsbury High School Senior Instruction classes as well as Bucks County Community College. She also earned certificates from the International Training in Communications (ITC) for public speaking, serving as President of both the local Toastmistress Club and council as well as Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and worked on various committees over the years.
She enjoyed spending time at the New Jersey shore, and was an experienced and trained boater, earning certificates in a number of courses given by the United States Power Squadron, such as Seamanship, Piloting, Engine Maintenance, Cruise Planning, Instructor qualification, Operations Training and Weather. Margaret owned her own boat and served as Commander, Executive Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary, as well as on various committees of the local Trenton-Falls Power Squadron Chapter.
An accomplished seamstress, she attended the Traphagen School of Fashion in NYC. She was very active in the 4-H Club in Utica, NY, where she grew up, taught sewing, went to school, and got married. She also enjoyed quilting, embroidery, and knitting.
Mrs. Fimmano retired from General Electric in Princeton, NJ after 16 years as an executive secretary, then she worked as a legal secretary for Thomas S. Cadwallader Law Office in Yardley from 1999-2011.
Mollie was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, and participated in Bible Study classes and other church activities. Her favorite prayer was the “Hail Mary”. She often reminded her children and grandchildren to say their Rosary whenever in a tough situation. Mollie was always very generous and willing to assist anyone in need, especially her family.
She was an avid skier, learning how to ski on long wooden skies and bamboo poles in Utica, NY. She was also active in the Trenton Ski Club, and helped to establish the Belle Mountain Ski Club in the 1960’s and served as an officer in both clubs.
She was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats, and often took in strays. She also enjoyed collecting figurines of light houses. Mollie was an avid Penn State fan, and enjoyed attending football games and tailgating during Penn State - Syracuse “family reunion” games.
The oldest of seven children, she was daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Krombel) Klepadlo, and wife of the late Frank G. Fimmano, mother of the late David F. Fimmano and sister of the late Chester Klepadlo, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda F. and James Junkin of Highland, UT, five sisters Frances Todd of Santa Rosa, CA, Arlene Pannone of Anchorage, AK, Agnes Delbridge of Colorado, Victoria Klepadlo of Levittown, PA and Barbara Runner of Morrisville, PA, daughter-in-law Linda Hansen Fimmano, five grandchildren, Frank G., Stacy M., and Jennifer Fimmano, James Junkin and Rozelinda Pastor, four grandchildren, Florence Pastor, Emily and Ella Fimmano and Iris Pastor, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her Funeral Mass on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201. N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Her interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yardley, PA.
Friends may call on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
