Margaret D. Roberts, age 89, of Newtown, PA, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Edwardsville, PA, Margaret lived in Bucks County for 67 years, including Fallsington, Yardley and most recently, Newtown. Prior to her retirement, Margaret was employed as an elementary school teacher with the Pennsbury School District for over 30 years, teaching in Manor, Penn Valley, and Makefield Elementary Schools. As a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Roberts was active in Deborah Circle. She was a faithful volunteer with Meals on Wheels, a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and served as a tutor. Daughter of the late Scott and Catherine (Davis) Jones, and wife of the late George J. Roberts, she is survived by a brother, Philip D. Jones of Austin, TX, a nephew Daniel (and wife Jennifer) Jones of Yardley, several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many beloved friends.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at 11 AM on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. Deborah Heffernan, Associate Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Wrightstown Friends Cemetery, Penns Park, PA. Friends may call Friday morning from 10-11 AM in the church lounge.Memorial contributions in Mrs. Roberts' name may be made to Woodside Meals On Wheels, 1382 Newtown Langhorne Road, Newtown PA 18940.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
