Marion B. (Benson) Armes, age 97, of Newtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Pennswood Village, Newtown, PA. Born in Chicago, IL, Marion lived in Fairless Hills and Yardley, PA for over 50 years prior to moving to Pennswood Village 13 years ago.Marion was Congressman Edward G. Biester's secretary for 10 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church since 1957. She was also a founding member and former President of the Outlook Club. When she moved to Pennswood she joined the quilting club, worked on the flower committee, and enjoyed the time she spent with the many new friends she made. Marion was an avid reader, and also volunteered her time to the Mercer Mart. Most importantly, Marion was a loving, caring mother and grandmother who always came second to her family.Daughter of the late Carl and Anna (Anderson) Benson, and wife of the late William Edward Armes, she is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law James and Sandra Armes of Kenosha, WI, and Michael J. and Ellen Armes of Wrightstown, PA, a daughter and son-in-law Susan and Stephen Keyser of Little Falls, NY. Marion had 7 grandchildren Michael, Kirsten, Daniel, Jennifer, Sarah, Katherine, and Julia, and 10 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 10:45 AM on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Pennswood Village, 1382 Newtown Yardley Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. The Rev. John Atkins will officiate. Interment in Newtown Cemetery was held privately at the convenience of the family.Friends may call Monday morning from 10 AM until the time of service at Pennswood Village. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions in Mrs. Armes' name be sent to the charity of the donors' choice.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
