Mary Ann Burns, 87, of Langhorne, PA passed away on February 13, 2022, at Oxford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center (formally Attleboro Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center).
Mary Ann was born in Carroll, Iowa daughter of Anna and Leo Burns who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard (Dick) Burns of Yardley and David Burns of Carroll. She is survived by her sister-in-law Rose Burns of Yardley and niece Meg (Burns) Williams also of Yardley.
Mary Ann spent most of her adult life in the San Francisco Bay area. She worked for many years at San Francisco General Hospital, running their blood bank. She was a wonderful chef and wine connoisseur. With her lifelong friend, Lynn Dewees, she liked to drive to Napa Valley to visit their favorite wineries. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the world. She did beautiful needlepoint work and enjoyed reading in her spare time.
She moved to the Community of Attleboro, Langhorne in 2012. While there she enjoyed spending her time reading and working crossword puzzles as well as taking part in the many organized activities.
Friends are invited to attend her memorial mass on Friday, February 25, 2022, 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Parish, 343 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ. Calling will be from 10 - 10:30 at the church on Friday,
February 25th prior to mass. Interment will take place privately, in Iowa at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann’s name to the Holy Cross Missions at holycrossusa.org.
