Mary E. Snyder (harding)

Mary E. (Harding) Snyder, age 86, of Morrisville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Plainsville, PA, Mrs. Snyder had lived in the Morrisville/Yardley area for over 65 years.Mary was devoted mother and grandmother who was extremely dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She also loved cooking for her family. Mrs. Snyder was a former member of the Morrisville United Methodist Church.Daughter of the late Merritt and Gladys (White) Harding, and wife of the late Earl C. Snyder, she is survived by 4 children, Marlene J. Snyder of Warrington, PA, Betty J. Alasevich (Kenneth) of Trevose, PA, Barry W. Snyder (Christina) of Yardley, PA, and Curt W. Snyder (Carol) of New Hope, PA, a sister Margaret Bauer (Gerald) of North Brunswick, NJ, 7 grandchildren Michael Maloney (Vicki), Jenna Snyder, Timothy Snyder, Victoria Meszaros, Kyle Alasevich, and Amanda and Julia Snyder, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. Catherine Bowers, Pastor of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery.Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 PM, and on Friday morning from 10-11 AM at the funeral chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Mrs. Snyder's name be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, Lock Box # 1352, PO Box 8500, Phila., PA 19178.
