Maureen Ellen (Connolly) Toolan

Maureen Ellen Toolan, age 70 of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Peckville, PA, Maureen resided in Lower Bucks County for the last 40 years.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse with Davita Dialysis in St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA.  Maureen loved to bake and was known for her world famous cupcakes.  Endowed with a wicked and witty sense of humor, she was always good for a laugh. She also loved to shop but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Daughter of the late John and Grace (Gilpatrick) Connolly, and sister of the late Robert Connolly, she is survived by her loving husband Brian P. Toolan, 5 children Col. Brendan (Gijin) Toolan , serving in the U.S. Army, Seamus (Dana) Toolan of San Diego, CA, Bridget Toolan of Boston, MA, Colin (Siobhan) Toolan of East Aurora, NY and Molly Toolan of Yardley, PA,  2 sisters Barbara Sankar of Archbald, PA and Kathleen Levine of New Hope, PA, a brother-in-law Kevin Toolan of Jermyn, PA, 7 grandchildren, Grady, Carter, Connal, Rory, Finn, Maeve and Grace Toolan, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 44 Bridge St., Lambertville, NJ  08530.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Maureen’s name, may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, www.foxchase.org/giving

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
