Michael James Osilka, age 88 of Morrisville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He was born in Lansford, PA and has been a resident of Morrisville since 1953. Michael was employed in Central Maintenance at U.S. Steel for 30 years and then worked as a school bus driver for Pennsbury School District upon retirement. Michael was a master of many trades. He built his own home, with the help of his brother, John, and was a master gardener, avid bowler and enthusiastic quoit player. Michael was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Morrisville where he served as an usher and volunteer. Michael was a proud Navy Veteran of WWII. Son of the late John and Anna (Demchak) Osilka, he was also predeceased by 2 brothers, John and Bernard, and 3 sisters, Anna Panchura, Margaret Battaglia, Marie Kukol and son-in-law Bob Powell. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Florence (Rabayda) Osilka, four children: Ginny Powell, Morrisville; Patricia and Kevin Cox, Doylestown; Michael and Karen Osilka, Mechanicsville; and Denise and John Kruse, New Hope. He has nine grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher, Rebecca, Brian, Lauren, Michael, Emmarose, Christian, and Justin, and 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11AM at Holy Trinity Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. John Eckert. Calling hours at the church will be from 10 to 11 am. Interment will take place at 1 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HolyTrinity Church.
