Monroe Gale (gale) Zimmerman

Age 87 of Monroe LA, formerly of Bucks County PA, passed away on June 10th 2016 at her home with family by her side. Jane was born March 22nd 1929 in Little Rock AR to Albert "A.B." and Hazel "B.B." Gale. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Stanley D. Zimmerman. Survived by sister Virginia Miller; children Casey Zimmerman, Kerry (Gary) Morris, Kristin (Peter) Falanga, and Keith (Heather) Zimmerman; grandchildren Sarah and Tyler Morris, Cory, Olivia and Wyatt Zimmerman and their mother Jill Zimmerman; great-grandson, Braydon Morris. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Jane graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in English. It was there where she met her beloved Zim in 1949. They wed two years later, enjoying a beautiful life together until his passing in 1992. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Monroe, Monroe Symphony League and the PEO Sisterhood. Her passions in life were traveling, cooking, literature, theater, attending symphony concerts, baking German chocolate pound cakes and summers spent at Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire. Above all, her greatest joy was being a wife and raising her children. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the personnel at First Choice Hospice in Monroe who showed great compassion and kindness to their Mother. Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 25th at 10:30 A.M. at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville PA. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Interment will be at the Morrisville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jane's name to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of one's choice."I've had a wonderful life" JGZ
