Morton C. Hensor, Jr. “Skeets”, age 90 of Morrisville, PA died peacefully on November 2, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. His unwavering dedication to both his community and his family defined his remarkable life.
Born on August 27, 1934, Skeets was predeceased by his parents, Morton C. Hensor, Sr. and Miriam E. (Yeager) Hensor, his brother Ronald, his son-in-law William McAllister Jr., and the love of his life, Marguerite P. Hensor (nee Dougherty). Skeets is survived by his brother Kenneth.
Skeets was a lifelong resident of Morrisville, where he graduated from Morrisville High School. Family was at the heart of Skeets’ life. As a proud father and grandfather, he attended every sporting event for his children and grandchildren—often times coaching but always cheering them on from the sidelines, offering encouragement, and sharing in their triumphs. His presence was a constant source of support and love, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family. Skeets was a postman for twenty three years and then became a co-owner of the Bridge Grille, a Morrisville tavern that became a cornerstone of the community, where countless memories were made over laughter, good food, and camaraderie. Skeets was also a devoted member of his community serving as a volunteer fireman and a lifetime member of the Morrisville Fire Company and assistant chief of the Union Fire Company for over ten years, baseball and softball coach for Babe Ruth and American Legion Baseball, ambulance driver, and loyal supporter of the Holy Trinity Parish, where he served as an usher for many years. He was also a member of Fairless Hills Elks Lodge # 2023 and the Knowles Doyles American Legion Post # 317 in Yardley. Skeets was a proud Veteran of the Air National Guard, and transitioned into the Air Force.
Skeets is survived by his four daughters, Holly Cobb (Mike), Karen McAllister, Joyce Hagan (Mike), and Donna (Dino), and cherished Pop-Pop to his 8 grandchildren: Michelle, Melanie, Melissa, John, Billy, Michael, Colin and Emma, and 9 great grandchildren.
Skeets was a passionate sports fan whose loyalty to his teams was matched only by his frustrations. A lifelong supporter of Penn State football, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Philadelphia Eagles, he eagerly anticipated each game, often gathering with friends and family to cheer them on. While he celebrated their victories with exuberance, he was equally vocal about his frustrations during tough seasons, bringing laughter and spirited debates to many gatherings. His love for sports not only connected him to his favorite teams but also to those he cherished, creating lasting memories filled with both joy and good-natured banter.
