Mrs. Marshall (yehle)

Mrs. Eliot (Yehle) Marshall, age 89, of Yardley, PA, died on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA after suffering a massive stroke. She was born in Syracuse, NY and lived in Irvington NY and LaPorte, PA before moving to Yardley in 1996.After attending Syracuse University, Eliot's professional career included work in marketing and community relations in the mental health care field. She served terms as Vice-President of the Yardley Lions Club and on the Sutphin Pines Community Association Board, and was a member of the Junior League. A daughter of the late Justice Leo and Dorthea Smith Yehle, Eliot is survived by her fiancé Ebe McCabe, her daughter and son-in-law Brooke Evans and Michael O'Neill of Breckenridge, CO, her son and daughter-in-law Dr. Tripp Evans and Patti Freeman-Evans of New York City, her son Scott Evans of New York City, her sister Gene McCarthy of Syracuse, NY, five grandchildren, a great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Yardley Mae. Eliot had a way of seeing the world through a lens of humor and humanity. She loved people, animals, flowers, nature, and a good laugh.Family and friends are invited to call from 3-4 pm, Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville PA (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. Wendy Bellis, Pastor of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, will then officiate at 4 pm at the celebration of her life for her family and friends at the funeral chapel.Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions, in Eliot's name, be sent to the charity of the donor's choice or to the Disabled American Veterans, 5000 Wissahickon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144.
