Nancy A. Jantos-locastro

Nancy A. (Sgroi) Jantos - LoCastro, age 96 ½, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at her home in Morrisville, surrounded by her family. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she lived in Trenton for 35 years, then spent 5 years living in New York. She moved to Levittown, PA for 3 years before settling in Morrisville in 1992.Mrs. Jantos - LoCastro was extremely talented, working as a seamstress, a waitress at Mercer Hospital, and, in retirement, as a cook for the priests at Queen of the Universe Church in Levittown. She was known for her delicious apple pies. Nancy was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling, adventure, and was an equestrian in her youth. She had been a feminist before the term was defined, while raising her family of five.Daughter of the late Anthony and Angela (Mazza) Sgroi and wife of the late Joseph Jantos and Nunzio LoCastro, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Martin and Linda Jantos of Fairless Hills, PA, 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law Marie Jantos of Hamilton, NJ, Dr. Loretta Jantos of Yardley, PA, Roseanne and Nick Ottaggio of Yardley, PA, and Angela and Ed DeNight of Browns Mills, NJ, a brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Mary Sgroi of Milltown, NJ, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Friends may call Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM and on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067, followed by interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Nancy's name, may be sent to Holy Trinity Church at the above address, or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 248 E.
