Nancy M. (Sutcliffe) McCall

Nancy M. McCall (nee Sutcliffe), of Morrisville, wonderful wife, blessing of a sister, greatest of grannies, wise and perfect mother, passed on to another life January 25th.  She was 89 years old.

Nancy grew up in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia, and moved to the suburbs with her husband in 1955.  There, surrounded by farms and fields, and the nature that she so loved, she created a happy home for her family, and a welcoming place for visitors.

Always loving and always compassionate, Nancy could also be spirited and feisty.  She relied on these traits to try to do the right thing at all times.  A virtue fostered by her parents Pete and Hattie Sutcliffe.

Nancy was a homemaker, a Cub Scout den mother, and a Pioneer Girls leader.  During her working years she was employed at Clover Department store in Morrisville, and Sam’s Bakery in Makefield Village.  She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and crocheting afghans for family, friends and charity.  She was a faithful member of Morrisville United Methodist Church.Aside from family and friends, Nancy’s greatest love was for animals.  Particularly dogs, but also for all types and sizes of pets, and all the creatures around the world.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Andrew G. McCall, her children Dennis (Kathy), Levittown, Craig (Cathy), Morrisville, Tracy (Mike), Fairless Hills, her granddaughters Andria (Clark), and Nancy (Sebastien), her sister Harriet Clarke, Philadelphia, and many nieces and nephews.  Nancy was predeceased by her son Robert and grandson Matthew.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her life celebration at 2 PM on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Morrisville United Methodist Church, 501 W. Maple Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  The Rev. Towanda Connelly, Pastor, will officiate.

Friends may gather between 1 and 2 PM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Nancy would ask that you send donations to the Woman’s Humane Society of Bensalem, the ASPCA, or the Morrisville United Methodist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
