Nona J. Matinas, age 89 of Feasterville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 at Symphony Manor, Feasterville, PA. Born in Detroit, MI, Mrs. Matinas lived in Morrisville for 42 years, moved to Ft. Pierce, FL for 21 years, then to Claymont, DE for 3 years before moving to Feasterville 2 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1992 in order to enjoy life with her husband in Florida, Nona was employed with the Department of Community Affairs for the State of New Jersey. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville. Nona was an avid bowler, and was active in her community clubhouse in Florida. She enjoyed baking and solving word puzzles. Her family was the most important thing to Mrs. Matinas.
Daughter of the late Melville and Leona McIntyre, wife of the late Joseph Matinas, and mother of the late Jeanette Matinas, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Debra Ann Matinas of Madison, WI, Kenneth and Lilo Matinas of Feasterville, PA, a daughter Catherine "Kate" Matinas of alameda, CA, six grandchildren, Todd, dawn, Annalise, Olivia, Stacy and Rachel, and two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Michael Brenner.
