Norman J. Krier Sr.

Norman J. Krier, Sr., age 93, of Levittown, Bristol Township, PA, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a longtime Morrisville resident.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Krier was employed as a machinist with Westinghouse in Trenton for 40 years. Norman was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Morrisville, and was a respected coach with Pop Warner Football and Morrisville Little League Baseball. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.Son of the late Philip H. and Mary (Hice) Krier of Morrisville, PA, and brother of the late Philip, Walter, and Harry Krier, he is survived by his wife of 69 years Mae (Burkett) Krier, whom he met on the dance floor in Seattle during WWII. He was in the Navy, and she was a "Rosie the Riveter" at Boeing. Mr. Krier is also survived by a daughter and son in law, Anita and Charles Wiedenhaefer, a son and daughter in law, Norman, Jr. and Patricia (Goodman) Krier, a sister Mary Alice Zelenak of Morrisville, a brother Robert Krier of New Port Richie, FL, 4 grandchildren, Amy Jans of Dover, PA, Lori Netland of St. Johns, FL, Jaime Pinkham of Fairless Hills, PA, and Jason Krier of Morrisville, greatgrandchildren Justin, Andrew, and Margaret Jans of Dover, PA, Elizabeth and Eric Netland of St. John's, FL, and Courtney Krier, and Tyler and Tiffany Pinkham of Levittown, PA, 2 greatgreat grandsons Jude and Elijah Jans of Etters, PA, and many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Service at 11 AM on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. John C. Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate.
