Peter J. Kerner, III, age 62, of Morrisville, PA, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong Morrisville resident.Mr. Kerner had worked as a steelworker for U.S. Steel (USX) for 32 years. He was a member of the Fairless Hills Elks Lodge # 2023. Peter was an avid hunter who loved fishing and NASCAR. He was a dedicated football and baseball fan.Son of the late Peter J. Jr. and Agnes (Douthwaite) Kerner, Husband of the late Lillian Kerner, step-father of the late Bernard Reedman III, and Brother of the late Agnes Kerner Hare, he is survived by a son, Peter J. Kerner IV of Morrisville, two daughters, Tammy and Kristina Kerner, both of Morrisville, a step-daughter Beth Reedman of Hamilton, NJ, a step-son Mark (Renee) Reedman of Lower Makefield Township, PA, three brothers Norman (Irene) Kerner of Bensalem, Joseph Kerner of Arkansas, and Raymond (Tammy) Kerner of McLellandtown, PA, two sisters Mary (Herman) Kelly of Fairless Hills, PA and Kathleen (Fred) Piell of Morrisville, PA, 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate.
