Peter J. Soltis Jr.

Peter John "Jack" Soltis, Jr., age 79, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Peter and Margaret Soltis. Jack graduated, in 1957, from Hamilton High School. He then joined the U.S. Army Reserves before attending the American Academy, McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. He was a licensed funeral director in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He served his internship at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel in Morrisville, and was then employed as a funeral director with the William Murphy Funeral home in Trenton. Upon the death of J. Allen Hooper in 1978, Jack became the president of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel in Morrisville, PA, serving the community for the past 40 years. Jack was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Trenton, prior to its' closing, where he served on the Finance Committee. He then joined Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, where he volunteered many hours as an offering counter. Additionally, he was a proud member of the Morrisville/Yardley Rotary Club, and served as a Deputy Coroner for Bucks County.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Mary (Carr) Soltis, his son Peter J. Soltis, III, four beautiful grandchildren Quentin, Veronica, Daphne, and Tabitha Soltis, and his 18 year old cat, "Sweet Pea".
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA, celebrated by Monsignor John Eckert. Interment will be held privately.
Friends may call Friday, Nov. 17th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
