Richard Edward Cash

Richard Edward Cash, age 69, of Morrisville, PA, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Memphis, TN, Mr. Cash moved to Morrisville 10 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, Richard was employed as a nursing assistant for the Veterans Administration in Memphis. He was extremely patriotic and loved his country, serving in the U.S. Army for 8 1/2 years as a medic during the Vietnam War, and then with the Navy during the Gulf War, with tours of duty including Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
He was a member of St. john the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville. Richard was a history buff who enjoyed building model ships, painting and reading Stephen King novels. He was also an avid sports fan.
Son of the late Charles Joseph and Woodie Unell (Senter) Cash, he is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann (DeMasi) Cash, his daughter Shaunna Marie Cash, son Jeffrey Alan Cash, 3 stepsons Sal, Pat, and Nick Leone, a brother Charles Joseph Cash, 9 step-grandchildren and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. Walter Benn of St. John the Evangelist Church will officiate. His interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Friends may call on Nov. 28th from 10-10:30 at the funeral chapel.
