Robert T. Alpaugh, age 64 of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Bob lived in Yardley for the past 32 years. Bob was a graduate of Hopewell Township High School, Class of 1978. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an I.T. Supervisor with NJM Insurance group for 43 years and was a member of both their bowling and softball organizations. He was a huge sports fan, rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Minnesota Vikings. Bob enjoyed being outdoors either walking, riding his bike, or feeding the birds. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed being on the boat regardless if it were fresh or salt water. He was dedicated to coaching softball for both of his daughter’s teams, the P.A.A. Girls Softball league, Lower Bucks Lady Lions, and the Pennsbury Gems. Bob was a member of the Pennington Volunteer Fire Company. One of his favorite hobbies was being a beer enthusiast and visiting different breweries. He also enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of visiting many national parks.
Son of the late John T. and Joan (Walker) Alpaugh, he is survived by his loving wife Karen D. (Bray) Alpaugh, two daughters and two sons-in-laws: Meghan E. (Alpaugh) and Connor Kubitsky of Yardley, and Marissa L. (Alpaugh) and Charlie Hooker of Wilkes Barre, PA. He was extremely fond of his two surviving aunts, Ginny Wirth and Karen Walker. He was also the loving Papa to Brynn and Avery Kubitsky.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather from 10 – 11 AM on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067, where a celebration of his life will take place at 11 AM, officiated by the Rev. Kelly Roman, Chaplain of Chandler Hall Hospice.
His interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a memorial contribution, in Bob Alpaugh’s name, to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. The family would like to thank everyone who contributed to Bob’s care, especially the wonderful Chandler Hall Hospice team.
