Robert P. Doyle, age 75 of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Abington Memorial Hospital. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Mr. Doyle grew up in Long Island NY, moving to Yardley in 1982.
He attended St. Francis Xavier in Manhattan, and Long Island University. Robert joined the Army, rising to the rank of Captain, flying Hueys in Vietnam. He loved aviation and became Chief Pilot for Caesar’s of Atlantic City, and later flew for, and retired from, Citigroup. Mr. Doyle was a member of V.F.W. Post #6393 in Lower Makefield.
He was the eldest child of the late Patrick and Nora (Cotter) Doyle, and brother of the late Nora Magnani and Eileen Doyle. He is survived by his wife Rosalinda (Tait) Doyle, son Robert T. Doyle of Yardley, brothers, Patrick (Kathy) Doyle, Timothy (Rosie) Doyle and Mark (Joan) Doyle, sisters, Stella (Roger) Bladholm, Shiela Handelman, Mary (Peter) Getts, Kathy Doyle, Bridget (Norm) Shore, Sally (Steve) Lewis and Dee (Larry) Lynch, and many nieces and nephews.
His services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. A committal with military honors will be held on a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
