Robert "Bob" Gallant

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert A. Gallant Jr., affectionately known as Bob, who departed this life on February 27, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Langhorne, PA surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.

 Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Bob was a bright presence in the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He tackled life with spunk and strength. Bob dedicated many years of his professional life to Amtrak in Newark, New Jersey, working as an Electrical Foreman where he found fulfillment in his work before his retirement. In the earlier years, he cherished the time spent his children, guiding them to become independent individuals, his pride in his children and grandchildren was immeasurable; they were, without a doubt, some of his proudest achievements. In his free time, Bob loved fishing, even if it was "just casting" . He also could be found enjoying camaraderie at the American Legion in Yardley and the Puss and Boots Tavern in Levittown, where he gathered with friends. His visits to the gun range were also a testament to his adventurous nature and zest for living life to the fullest.

Bob is predeceased by his father, Robert A. Gallant Sr., and his sister, Corinne Gallant, whose spirits will surely greet him in the next life. Bob leaves behind a legacy carried on by his beloved family. He is survived by his devoted mother, Katherine B. Gallant; his cherished wife of 39 years Joyce Gallant; his son, John Gallant, and his wife Crystal; his daughter, Jaclyn Gallant, and her partner Byron; and his brothers, Wayne Gallant and his wife Joan, and David Gallant and his wife Sandy. The laughter and joy of Bob's grandchildren—Ava, Lilli, Mason, and Riley—will forever echo in the memory of those who loved him most. He was also blessed with his best friend, Kelly Watson; along with all of his " bonus kids", other extended relatives, and close friends he has made throughout his life.

A memorial visitation to honor Bob will be held on March 8, 2025, at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave Morrisville, PA 19067mfrom 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM,. A prayer service and celebration of life will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Though his battle is over, the impact of Bob’s life resonates deeply within all who knew him, and he will be remembered with fondness, admiration, and love.
