Robert C. Girton

Robert C. Girton, age 81 of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19, 20924 at Silver Lake Medical Center in Bristol, PA. Born in Trenton, NJ, Robert lived in Browns Mills, NJ before moving to Levittown in 1989.

Mr. Girton attended Trenton High School and was employed as an office worker with U.S. Steel for many years. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the Falls Township American Legion, where he served in the Honor Guard. His passion was shooting pool and was a member of the American Pool Players Association. Robert was also an avid sports fan, with ice hockey being his favorite.

Robert is predeceased  by his beloved wife Eva Matteson; his two brothers, and his five sisters. He is survived by his son Kenneth Matteson of Levittown, his brother-in-law George Warner; along with many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather from 8:45 – 9:45 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA, where services will be held at 9:45.

His interment with military honors will follow at 11 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
