Robert W. Kostar

Robert W. Kostar, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Born in Morrisville, Bob was a lifelong Morrisville/Yardley resident. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Kostar was a railroader with NJ Transit for 44 years, in addition to working several other jobs to ensure that his family was comfortable and had everything they needed. He was a member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Church in Yardley. Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved country music. He had an incredible sense of humor. There was nothing that he couldn't build, do, or fix. Among his favorite hobbies was building model airplanes and birdhouses.Son of the late John and Elizabeth Kostar, grandfather of the late T.J. Brigham, and brother of the late Dolores Laschutka, he is survived by his beloved wife Marie E. (Titus) Kostar, two daughters Lorie A. Kostar-Brigham of Morrisville and Susan M. Kostar-Nelson of Cape May, NJ, two sons and a daughter-in-law Robert K. Kostar of Newtown, PA and Timothy D. and Mayumi Sato Kostar of Nashua, NH, two brothers Raymond Kostar of Morrisville and Daniel Kostar of Langhorne, a sister Kathleen Martin of Pocono, PA, five grandchildren Shane R. Gibbons, Ryan P. Gibbons, Nicole P. Nelson, Matthew L. Kostar, and Tohkey R. Kostar, a great grandson Timothy J. Brigham, Jr., and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Mnsgr. Samuel E. Shoemaker, Pastor of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, will officiate.
