Robert Warrell, Sr., age 91, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, August 29, 2013 with his family at his side.Bob (or Pop, as he was known to his children) was a gentle man with a kind heart, a bright smile and a cheerful laugh that always brought out the best in everyone around him.Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Trucksville, PA, Pop was a part of what is aptly called "The Greatest Generation." He had a strong appreciation for the music of the era. From Swing to Country, Pop loved to spend time listening to his albums and his cassette tapes. His love for music was a natural extension of his love for electronics, which started during his time in the United States Army. As part of Company D in the 705th Military Police Battalion, Pop was a Technician 5th Grade who was responsible for 2-way voice and Morse Code radio transmitting and receiving. Pop was stationed with the Military Police General Duty Company in England, France, and Luzon-Phillippine Islands. After his service discharge and relocation to Lower Bucks County, Pop furthered his education at the Trenton Technical School studying television and radio communications. He started his own radio and television repair business, aptly named "Bob's Radio and TV Service." Going on his service calls after his shifts at the Vulcanized Rubber and Plastics Company in Morrisville, Pop would often work well into the night so that his customers were not without their radios and TV's for long. Always willing to do what was right, Pop never refused a customer because they were unable to pay. That was the kind of man Pop was.Pop was predeceased by his wife, Helen (nee Kapral), with whom he had shared 50 years of marriage. Son of the late Earle and Eleanora (Walker) Warrell, and brother of the late Earle, Jr., Kenneth and Ralph Warrell, and Eleanora MacCulloch, he will be sadly missed by his 3 children, Diana McAllister of Morrisville, PA, Debra (Norm) Dobo of Groveville, NJ, and Robert, Jr. (Karen) of Levittown, PA, brothers Milton and George Warrell, sisters Shirley Veltri, Eileen Garinger, Nellie Bell, Helen Blackshire, and June Harkins; grandchildren Paul and Richard McAllister, Norman and Lauren Dobo, Jennifer and Jackie Dunn, great-grandchildren Sierra and Autumn Dunn, goddaughter Charlotte Petroff and many very special brother & sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.Services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
