Rosalie Jones (wherry)

Rosalie (Wherry) Jones, age 85, of Newtown, PA, passed away peacefuly on June 22, 2014 at her home in Newtown. Born in Chester, PA, she lived in Swarthmore, PA before moving to Newtown.Prior to her retirement, Rosalie was employed as a secretary for the office of the West Chester District Attorney for 15 years. She was an avid artist, enjoying all of the arts including pottery and gardening.Daughter of the late William and Louise Wherry, mother of the late Carlton M. Bullard, and sister of the late Jannis Boyce, she is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Steven A. and Diane Bullard of Yardley, PA and Garry N. and Joyce Bullard of Richboro, PA, two sisters Evelyn Messmer of Broomall, PA and Elaine L. McKinney of Delaware County, PA, five grandchildren Adam, Steven, Esther, Hannah, and Sean, and two great grandchildren Cara and Adam.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial services at 11 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com), where friends may call after 10 AM to meet the family. Interment of cremated remains will be held privately at the convenience of the family at New London Presbyterian Church, New London, PA.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mrs. Jones' name be made to Bucks County SPCA, 1665 Street Rd, New Hope, PA 18931.
