Rose Mazzola, age 86, of Bayside, Queens, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Manorcare of Yardley, Lower Makefield Township, PA. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Rose had lived in Bayside for 40 years, before moving to Yardley one year ago.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a server in the cafeteria at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in New York City for many years. In her later years, she enjoyed going to the local senior center, where she loved to play Bingo.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Jennie (Orlando) Mazzola, and sister of the late John Mazzola and Marianne Liquori, she is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mary Wybaillie of Freehold, NJ, Joseph Mazzola of Queens, NY, Sebastian Mazzola of East Meadow, L.I., NY, and Mae Gallegro of Yardley, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her Funeral Mass at 10 O'Clock AM on Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Big Oak and Makefield Rds., Yardley, PA. Her interment will be held at 1:30 PM at St. John's Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Ave., Middle Village, NY 113769.
Friends may call Thursday evening from 5 PM - 9 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
