Ruth Anna Graves, age 82, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Brunswick at Attleboro, Langhorne, PA. Born in Bethlehem, PA, Ruth had lived in Morrisville for over 60 years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a home economics teacher with the Morrisville School District for over 30 years. Ruth was a graduate of Penn State and a member of Delta, Kappa, Gama, as well as the Penn State Alumni Association. A long-time member of the Tri County Band, she also spent time volunteering at local homeless shelters. Miss Graves was an active member of the Morrisville United Methodist Church for over 50 years, where she volunteered at the food pantry. Over the years, she made over 8000 pillowcases to benefit children with cancer.Daughter of the late Arthur and Irma (Zimmerman) Graves, and sister of the late Edith MacPeek, she is survived by her brother George M. Graves of Johnstown, PA, 4 nieces Linda Townley, Wendy Havens, Katherine Foley, and Robin Harold, a nephew Kevin Graves, and 10 great nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Morrisville United Methodist Church, 501 W Maple Ave, Morrisville, PA 19067. The Rev. Wendy Bellis, Pastor, will officiate.
