It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Lea Namey, who left us on December 4, 2024, at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Born on April 4, 1944, in Princeton, New Jersey, Sandra lived a life filled with love, laughter, and steadfast dedication to her family and community.
Sandra dedicated 15 years of her career to Tyburn Road Planet Self Storage as an Assistant Sales Representative. Her work ethic and commitment made her a valuable asset, and her kind spirit touched the lives of those she worked with. A proud graduate of Trenton High School, Sandra's education served as a foundation that she built upon throughout her professional and personal life.
Gardening was more than just a hobby for Sandra; it was a passion that brought her immense joy. She found solace in nurturing plants and flowers, watching them bloom just like the love she cultivated in her family. Her enthusiasm for life was further showcased through her love of sports, as she fervently cheered for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Kansas City Chiefs. A devoted QVC fanatic, she always had her eye on the latest items for her home and loved sharing her finds with family and friends.
Sandra reveled in taking trips to Atlantic City, creating unforgettable memories with those she loved. As a mother, her pride was immense for her children, Shannon and Jonathan, who reside in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Her husband, Jonathan Paul Namey, stood by her side, and together they created a life filled with cherished moments. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Annette Tkacs of Hamilton, New Jersey, and several beloved nieces and nephews who will carry forward her light.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Minnie Allshouse Tkacs, and her brother, Michael Tkacs. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be missed deeply, especially by her puppy Misty Rose, who brought her so much joy.
As we reflect on Sandra’s life, we remember her not just for her accomplishments but for the unparalleled love she shared with everyone around her. Her legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and an adventurous spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 9:30 AM. Please arrive at the cemetery at 9:15 and park in front of the administration building in the funeral procession line.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a memorial contribution, in Sanda’s name, to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to an animal rescue of your choosing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
