Scott B. Sechrist

Scott B. Sechrist, 61, went into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ May 12, 2014. He was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and loved his country and those who fought for our freedoms passionately. He was Co-Pastor of fledgling church with a passion serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He spent countless hours preparing Sunday School lessons focusing on doctrine. His teaching and preaching were stellar. He taught through Genesis and Acts twice and was currently teaching extemporaneously through Romans. He opened his home 9 years for weekly Bible studies, prepared meals and made home-made cookies for all who attended. His favorite hymn was, "My Hope is in the Lord Who gave Himself for me and paid the price of all my sin at Calvary. And now for me He stands, before the Father's Throne; He shows His wounded hands and names me as His own." Truly he is having the time of his life running through Heaven basking at the feet of his precious Jesus and discussing history with Abraham, Moses, David, Samson, and especially Paul. He's singing with George Younce and Glen Payne! He is survived by his loving, supportive wife whose heart will be forever broken, one precious adoring daughter he loved and treated as his very own, his mother, one brother, nieces and many, many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at the discretion of his church/family. The family would appreciate donations to help defray funeral expenses in care of Randi Adams-Sechrist, P.O.
