Sergei I. Harhigh

Sergei I. Harhigh, age 86 of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 surrounded by family at home. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Harhigh lived in Albrightsville, PA for 25 years prior to moving to Yardley 3 years ago.  He was a graduate of Trenton High School, Class of 1954 and a veteran of the U.S. Army and N.J. National Guard. Sergei had a 30 year career in the aerospace industry working as an electronic technician retiring with Lockheed Martin in East Windsor, NJ in 1995.

While in the Poconos, Mr. Harhigh was an active member of the Towamensing Trails Social Club. He enjoyed playing shuffleboard, downhill skiing, kayaking on the lake, bird watching, dining out, listening to music, and developing a career as an armchair weatherman.  Additionally, he was fond of doing home projects, especially tinkering with electronics, and working in the yard.  He was a former parishioner at St. Mary Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church in Trenton.

Sergei is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Julia (Remenicky) Harhigh, his son Daniel M. Harhigh, and four siblings Nicholas Jr. (late wife Geraldine), John, Mary (late husband Theodore Eldridge), and Julian. He is survived by his wife Ruth (Feineis) Harhigh, sister-in-law Liliane Harhigh, two daughters Michelle R. Harhigh of Chicago, IL and Marybeth Harhigh of Doylestown, PA, a daughter-in-law Carrie Harhigh, a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Kim Harhigh of Highlands Ranch, CO, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions, in Mr. Harhigh’s name, be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or to the Wounded Warrior Project, (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
