Sophie L. Slifko (rutkowski)

Sophie L. Rutkowski Slifko, 91 died Wednesday morning at Pickering Manor Nursing Home, Newtown, Pa. Born in Trenton, she was a life-long Morrisville resident. Daughter of the late Walter and Stephanie Rutkowski, wife of the late Frank T. Slifko, and sister of the late, Mary Kowalik, Catherine Rutkowski, Joe Rutkowski and Stanley Rutkowski, she is survived by a son Walter Slifko, daughter Virginia Slifko McGuire and her husband Pat, a grandson Corey Slifko and his wife Lisa, and nephew Ronald Kowalik and many grand and great grandchildren. Sophie was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Morrisville. She was devoted to her God and her family. In addition, she was a wonderful cook.Funeral services will be conducted by J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, Pa. Calling hours will be Saturday morning January 26, from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30A.M., Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Church, Morrisville Pa. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, River Road, Yardley. Memorial contributions may be made to Pickering Nursing Home, 226 N. Lincoln Ave, Newtown, Pa, 18940 in remembrance of Sophie Slifko.
