Sophie R. Collier

Sophie R. (Rutkowski) Collier, age 93, of Langhorne, PA, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at Attleboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Langhorne, PA. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. Collier lived in Bucks County for over 40 years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in International Sales with Rohm and Haas in Philadelphia for over 20 years. Mrs. Collier was a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, as well as the Ladies' Auxiliary of Kensington - Kadosh Commandery No. 54, Knights Templar of Pennsylvania. She was a voracious reader, and in her younger days, Sophie enjoyed horseback riding, which is where she met her late husband, Wilfred "Bill" V. Collier, Jr. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Albin and Ludwica (Osipowicz) Rutkowski. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons and daughters-in-law, J. Bruce and Jill Collier of Newtown, PA and Geoffrey K. and Lisa Collier of Morrisville, 3 grandchildren, Brian, Kristin, and Leah Collier, and many nieces and nephews.Her services will be held privately at the convenience of the family, entrusted to the care of the J.
