Susan Fanning, age 73 of Yardley, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.
Daughter of the late Richard and Eileen (Malloy) Parker and wife of the late William (Bill) E. Fanning, sister of the late Richard Parker and grandmother of the late Lucas and Justin Fanning, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jill and Steve Mancia of Yardley, her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Kelley Fanning of Hamilton, NJ, two brothers Thomas Parker of Groveville, NJ and Robert Parker of Hamilton, NJ, and three sisters and a brother-in-law Linda Parker and Bill Paraski of Elizabeth, NJ, Doris Duff of Trenton, NJ and Kathy Parker of Stowe, PA and three grandchildren Taylor and Paige Mancia and Jacob Fanning.
Sue was born in Queens NY. She spent her teen years in Hamilton Square, NJ and after marrying Bill moved to Brooklyn NY where they raised Jill and Bill. They eventually returned to Hamilton Square for several years before spending almost twenty years in Villa Park NJ. After Bill’s passing, Sue moved to Penndel PA where she spent about five years before recently moving in with Jill and her family in Yardley PA.
To know Sue was truly a blessing. She adored any time she could spend with her family and friends. She was extremely crafty and really loved to crochet and make sock monkeys. She never missed a chance to make a blanket or a monkey for those she loved OR someone she just met. Sue loved camping and spent dozens of summers at Otter Lake with Bill. Their time spent there with their grandchildren especially and so many family and friends were some of the happiest times of her life. A true fan of music, it brought her happiness and comfort; a cool tune was always playing in the background. Although a fading sentiment, Sue kept the art of letter writing alive. She would spend hours a day writing to everyone she knew, and was amazing at sharing her thoughts and care through her letters.
Relatives and friends may gather on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11am – 12noon at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Avenue., Morrisville PA 19067, followed by her funeral service at 12noon.
